We had to finally walk away just because of the rudeness of the manager. He got to understand that this is not the only furniture store in the city. I would have given 5 stars if not for the manager. James who was our sales person was extremely helpful and a very nice salesman. We had plans to buy furniture for whole house at just one place we almost got fixed on two sofa sets and bed and some tables but the floor manager was extremely rude and had no consideration what so ever to the amount of money we wanted to put. He was behaving as if the customer didnt matter to him!

Never again. My husband and I purchase all of our furniture through Artvan. We were looking for four specific styled chairs to go around our fireplace area and artvan did not have a good selection. We decided to give Value city a shot. We placed an order for four chairs and a decorative mirror. They had to be special ordered so they were about 1.5 months out.. They were arriving on two different dates so I asked if we could pick them up at the same time. We were told yes that is fine. When the day came to pick them up, they said they gave our chairs to another customer because we didn't pick them up on time! They then stated everything would be in the following week. Fast forward to today.. my husband goes in to pick up our chairs and mirror and one of the chairs is the wrong color!! I am livid. I will never EVER be shopping at value city furniture again. Do yourself a favor and go to artvan!!

HORRIBLE customer service!!!! This is my second poor encounter with VCF this year. Earlier this year I purchased 2 full bedroom sets one of which I purchased an additional bed with and paid cash in full before delivery. I was told when I placed the order that it was in stock and would be no problem to receive. Later on we realize it'll take a couple of weeks, no worries, that's fine. Delivery date and time confirmed twice. On the day of delivery less than an hour before the time they are supposed to arrive I receive a call that a truck has broken down and delivery won't be made, not only that day but they had to reschedule for 3 days out. After expressing how frustrated I was they offered a refund which really equated basically to free delivery. Next delivery day comes and wouldn't you know it one of the bedroom sets is damaged. After some discussion with the delivery staff and contacting the store from which I purchased it was established that I'd have to schedule another delivery date to get the damaged pieces replaced. That took an additional week.

Lenore Parvu is the best sales manager ever! She helped my mom and I more than any other sales manager ever has and was willing to go above and beyond to get us what we needed. She treated us great!

my wife and i were looking for new furniture we came in found a set of couches we loved. The guys made it easy were not pushy or down your throught everyone was nice help me load my truck good people good price

After some time I decided this could really have been an isolated event. We went back with a little reluctance to purchase a Christmas gift that my mother in law had her eye on. 1 item, that we asked to pick up. There were a few locations to pick up from offered we of course chose the location closest to us. They offered for it to be available for pick up later in the week. We opted to wait for the following Monday. Get to the location and what do you know it's not there. After some calling around it's discovered it's at another location 45 minutes away from my home. Now if I hadn't explicitly stated the location from which we wanted to pick up from SEVERAL times AND given additional days for it to be available this may not have been a big deal. However, given my past experience it instantly irritated me. When we call to find out why it took place and how it could be resolved the sales manager although admitting it was their fault; essentially didn't have any resolve. It was basically pick it up from where it's at and I'll give you a discount which amounts to $30 after we paid someone $40 to pick it up while we work. After I explained that I wasn't really looking for a discount and that it really should be delivered at this point I was told it can't be delivered until after Christmas OR he could see how soon he could maybe get it to the original location we requested. Mind you we DO work so at this point we either have to not only travel back out to pick up this 1 item but take additional time off work and pay someone to pick up again. Oh yeah or wait until after Christmas for delivery.
