I have had over several occasions where I had to call the Sterling heights Police due to a son with a traumatic brain injury. Whether the situation was calm when they got there, or loud and filled with chaos, they were always professional and courteous. I am impressed with their training and abilities, and the way they handle delicate and volatile situations. Very happy to have them as our police force. And just so no one thinks I'm biased, I did get myself into a little trouble 20 some years ago, and had the pleasure of getting nice shiny bracelets from them, and they were professional and treated me properly, so from both sides, I say they are a great department and a great group of men and women. Glad to have them around and on my force! God Bless this dept!
The front desk office, Ofc. LaTour, was very courteous, helpful and knowledgeable. Sterling Heights police has been very friendly and helpful whenever we've needed them.
Officers making fun of people because my son fingerprints where not going thru because of there stupid ignorant methods they made fun of him that he was lotioned up and made fun of him the entire time, and if someone talks they would use their powers for submitting people for what they think it's there right, DONT FORGET TAX PAYERS (US) MAKE YOUR LIVING.
The officer on my case belittled me and would only speak to me through other people. He took weeks to respond to phone calls and made me feel like I was crazy for getting a PPO because I wasn’t physically attacked. He never tried to work through my case or seemed to care and does not know how to speak to victims of trauma. He blackmailed and threatened me in order to get me to close my case by saying he would talk to my perpetrators. People like this are why victims will not come forward.
Very unhelpful staff the dectives bureau has failed to do there jobs properly or even take down the correct information given to them. Making my experience with them unpleasant and not to be forgotten.
