Great customer service pick up and speedy check out even helped me find the best deal because my car had to unexpectedly be kept an additional day for repairs. Will definitely rent again.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Made reservation for 8 am. Apparently they had no cars available and no one told me. They said I can't get my car until 9 am. It's currently 10:30 am and I still have no car. What a waste of my time. No apologies, and no offers to upgrade because they literally have no other car to offer. I'm never doing business with this company again.

I called Enterprise right away and guess what? They not only accepted my debit card, but they picked me up and were there in TEN MINUTES. ON SHORT NOTICE. NO EXTRA CHARGE FOR THAT.

This company was inept and rude.

I called this location because I was having issues with one of there vehicles that I was renting. I was placed on hold for 15 mins by the young lady at the desk. So I decided to just make reservation for another vehicle. When I arrived to switch vehicles the young lady informed me that there were no vehicles reserved for me and that I will have to come back tomorrow and call to see if they have a vehicle available and that hertz over books vehicles online. That's the first time I've heard that . I then proceeded to ask the young lady if she could let me know how I can get into another vehicle and she stated "you just have to keep calling and checking to see if we have a vehicle available". Hertz, Is that your new business practice ? Customers may or may not have a vehicle available when they schedule to pick up.

The overseas call center representative... I can't decide if she was stupid or if her English was just that poor but she truly seemed to not understand a single word I was saying. This was very frustrating as time was of the essence with my reservation. When I asked if she could give me the number of the physical location she could not. She tried, bless her, to give me instructions on how to get the actual location over the phone but, sadly, she had no working knowledge of the phone system she was using. I asked if it were her first day on the job... she replied no... Two thumbs down for this.

When I finally got through to the actual branch my reservation was at, the lady there was also rude. She informed me that a debit card was "unacceptable" because they have no policy for those. I am super mad because the website did not inform me of this. I would never have booked with Hertz in the first place if the online reservation site would have put that somewhere. This screwed me over for my first day of training for a new and highly coveted job. I was late because I had no vehicle like I had planned on.

Get it together Hertz. You guys suck, in Sterling Heights, Michigan at least. Ugh. Never recommending or using this company ever again.
